There is something for everyone at Premier Racedays during April.

Top-class jumping, featuring the world’s most famous race, is complimented by numerous Classic trials as the Flat turf action clicks up a gear.

With Aintree’s three-day Randox Grand National meeting dominating the early days and Flat racing’s future stars testing their Group 1 credentials, this month’s racing is not to be missed.

Here’s a look at April’s Premier Racing.

Aintree

Randox Grand National Festival, Thursday 3 April -Saturday 5 April

Millions of people around the world will be tuning in when Aintree’s three-day festival culminates with the Randox Grand National.

It is one of the highlights of the jumps season with 34 hopefuls taking on the iconic course to attempt to join the greats of the sport like Red Rum and Tiger Roll as National heroes.

There are no less than 11 Grade 1 races during the meeting at the Liverpool track.

Southwell

With more than £250,000 prize money up for grabs there is sure to be an afternoon of competitive all-weather Flat racing at the friendly Nottinghamshire track.

Ayr

Coral Scottish Grand National Day, Saturday 12 April

The Coral Scottish Grand National is always one of the biggest jump fixtures north of the border.

Thousands of racing fans will flock to the west coast of Scotland to enjoy a hugely-popular day, with the Coral Scottish Champion Hurdle among the supporting races.

Newbury

Dubai Duty Free Spring Trials, Saturday 12 April

Classic hopefuls will be looking to push their big-race claims on the second day of the Dubai Duty Free Spring Trials weekend.

The fillies go in the Dubai Duty Free Fred Darling Stakes and the colts in the Watership Down Stud Greenham Stakes.

Both races are traditional trials for the Guineas. Frankel was the last horse to complete the Greenham/2000 Guineas double.

Newmarket

Bet365 Craven Meeting, Wednesday 16 April & Thursday 17 April

The Classic Trials comes thick and fast with Newmarket’s two-day bet365 Craven Meeting.

The Lanwades Stud Nell Gwyn Stakes and the bet365 Feilden Stakes feature on the opening day, with the Craven Stakes topping the bill 24 hours later.

The winner of the 2018 Craven Stakes, Masar, went on to win the Derby.

Newcastle

All Weather Finals Family Fun Raceday, Friday 18 April

Now firmly established on Good Friday, All-Weather Championships Finals Day promises an action-packed, fun-filled afternoon.

It is the very best of all-weather racing with the winter season titles being decided on an exciting Newcastle card.

Musselburgh

Virgin Bet Easter Saturday Raceday, Saturday 19 April

The traditional Easter Saturday fixture at Musselburgh is always a popular event and has this year obtained status as a Premier Raceday.

The £100,000 Virgin Bet Queen’s Cup is the feature race at the Edinburgh track.

Plumpton

Easter Festival, Sunday 20 April & Monday 21 April

There will be plenty of family fun to go along with some high-quality racing at Plumpton’s two-day Easter Festival. The Betgoodwin Sussex Champion Hurdle and the Bob Champion Cancer Trust Champion Chase are the friendly track’s big races.

Sandown Park

Bet365 Flat Season Opener & Jumps Finale, Friday 25 April & Saturday 26 April

Racing fans get the best of both world’s at Sandown’s two-day meeting.

The Group 2 bet365 Mile and the Group 3 Classic Trial are sure to excite Flat enthusiasts on Friday.

The following day, the bet365 Jump Finale brings the season to an end with a glittering celebration featuring the bet365 Gold Cup.

The Champion Jockey, Owner, Trainer, Conditional and Horse will all be crowned before racing as the jumps season closes with a carnival feel and some superb racing.
