The summer season is in full swing and this month’s Premier Racing fixtures feature some of Flat racing’s most popular Festivals.
The three-day Newmarket July Festival and the Qatar Goodwood Festival dominate July’s top action.
There’s also the first meeting of the best of the Classic generation and the star older horses in Sandown’s Coral-Eclipse Stakes.

Coral-Eclipse Day, Saturday 4 July
The cream of the Classic generation meet the best of the older horses for the first time in the Coral-Eclipse.
The Group 1 prize has been won by many of Flat racing’s greatest horses. Sea The Stars, Enable and City Of Troy are all on the race’s roll of honour.
The Group 3 Coral Charge Sprint Stakes features among the supporting races.

Debenhams July Festival Day One, Thursday 9 July
The Group 2 Kingdom of Bahrain Princess Of Wales’s Stakes is the big race on the opening day of the Debenhams July Festival.
The picturesque track will also host the Group 2 Kingdom of Bahrain July Stakes for two-year-olds as one of the summer’s top festivals kicks off.

The fillies takes centre stage on the second day of the July Festival in the Group 1 Tattersalls Falmouth Stakes.
The Group 2 bet365 Duchess Of Cambridge Stakes is the pick of the supporting races.

One of the top sprints of the season is the feature race on the third and final day of the July Festival.
The Group 1 July Cup is the most coveted six-furlong prize in the British Flat racing calendar and it has been won by some of the smartest sprinters.
The Group 2 Superlative Stakes for two-year-olds and the competitive Bunbury Cup help make for a superb day’s racing.

Qatar Goodwood Festival Day One, Tuesday 28 July
The five-day Qatar Goodwood Festival starts in style. The top stayers will battle it out for the Group 1 Al Shaqab Goodwood Cup on the opening day of one of the summer’s most popular meetings.
The Group 2 Coral Vintage Stakes and the Group 2 HKJC World Pool Lennox Stakes helps make for a stellar day of racing at the stunning Sussex racecourse.

Qatar Goodwood Festival Day Two, Wednesday 29 July
The very best milers will clash in the Visit Qatar Sussex Stakes.
The season’s most prestigious Group 1 mile prize is traditionally where the Guineas winners meet the older horses for the first time.
The roll of honour could hardly be any more impressive with Frankel, Kingman and Baaeed among the recent winners.

Qatar Goodwood Festival Day Three, Thursday 30 July
It’s Ladies’ Day in more ways than one on the third day.
The day kicks off with the unique Markel Magnolia Cup, where 12 inspirational female riders will race down Goodwood’s iconic home straight before the professional action focuses on the fillies in the Group 1 Qatar Nassau Stakes.
The Group 2 Markel Richmond Stakes and the Group 3 Gordon Stakes help ensure it is a quality afternoon’s racing.

Qatar Goodwood Festival Day Four, Friday 31 July
The feature race on the fourth day is the Qatar King George. Although it’s a Group 2 prize it has been won by some of the fastest sprinters and it is usually a top-level contest in all but name.
Battaash won it in four consecutive years, with the stunning quartet of victories completed six years ago. The Coral Golden Mile – one of the most competitive handicaps of the season – tops the undercard.
