Great British Racing (GBR) is the central promotional and marketing body for British Horseracing. Its aims are to broaden racing’s popularity and, in doing so, help increase engagement with and participation in the sport.
Racing is the second biggest spectator sport in the country, with around six million people attending each year, regularly accounting for three of the top ten best-attended sporting events in the country. We aim to maintain and grow this popularity as well as build British racing’s position internationally as the best in the world.
Our approach is focused on maintaining and improving the long-term health and vitality of the sport through widespread press and media coverage, combined with frequent, sustainable, reactive campaigns and initiatives to build and maintain engagement.
