Marquand, who was crowned Champion Apprentice in 2015, said: “It’s been a great start to the season for me and I certainly hope I can continue this run of form and push Oisin until very end.”
“Becoming Champion Jockey is most definitely the aim, so hopefully the next 50 wins can come just as quick!”
The Berkshire-based jockey moves seven victories ahead of third-placed Ben Curtis (43), with William Buick (42) and Marquand’s partner, Hollie Doyle (39) in the Champion Jockey title race.
