The win means Buick closes the gap on leader and reigning Champion Flat Jockey, Oisin Murphy to just 13 wins, with less than five weeks of the Championship to go which this year culminates at Doncaster Racecourse on Saturday 7th November.
Buick, who is aiming for his first Champion Flat Jockey title, said: “I’m delighted to have reached 100 winners for the season. It is something I haven’t been able to do in the last couple of seasons, so it is a fantastic achievement for me personally.”
“With just over a month to go in the Championship, I find myself in a position where I’m fighting to become Champion Jockey, so I’ll be trying my absolute best to do just that.”
The 32-year-old reaches the century in 447 rides, operating at an impressive strike rate of 22%, and is nine victories ahead of third-placed Tom Marquand (91 wins).

Stand-out performances for the Buick so far this season include an impressive 11 Group race victories, most recently the Group 3 Tattersalls Stakes with La Barrosa at Newmarket Racecourse last week.
He has also secured three wins in the 2020 QIPCO British Champions Series so far this year, claiming both the Coral Eclipse and Juddmonte International Stakes with Ghaiyyath and the bet365 Doncaster Cup Stakes aboard Spanish Mission.
The win aboard Mystical Dawn marked Buick’s 15th win at Newmarket Racecourse and therefore his most successful track so far this season. His most successful trainer partnership has been with Charlie Appleby, with the pair enjoying 37 victories together.
It was announced on behalf of the PJA in June that this year’s Jockeys’ Championship would run until the end of the turf season, following the delay to the start of the title race due to coronavirus. It means that in 2020, the Jockeys’ Championship runs from 1st June to 7th November.
