Jason Hart was born In Hawick in the Scottish Borders, into a racing family, his grandfather, Derek Campbell, had been a jump jockey, and he has since married Jess McLernon, sister of jump jockey Richie.  

Hart was formerly retained rider for Mark Johnston, with whom he rode numerous winners, and has since moved to working freelance, with which he has seen further success.  

The 2021 season in particular brought Jason huge success, riding 100 winners and hitting £1million prize money for the first time. In 2023, Jason hit the £2million mark for the first time in his career. 

2025 saw Jason establish himself as one of the finest riders in Great Britain, riding over 100 winners throughout the course of the season and plundering a multitude of prestigious races.
