Here’s a look at all those fixtures in August.

Newmarket

Saturday 1 August

There will be non-stop fun for all the family on the July Course. Younger guests can enjoy face painting, bouncy castle and other exciting activities.

Chester

Sunday 2 August

Chester’s Family Fun Day will be filled with exciting entertainment from start to finish. There will be a fun fair, inflatable play zone, music workshops and much more.

Ripon

Monday 3 August

Enjoy a fun-filled afternoon at the Yorkshire course’s Scoops & Saddles Ice Cream Championship. There will be family-friendly entertainment with the chance to treat yourself to some delicious ice cream.

Catterick

Tuesday 4 August

There will be plenty going on at the Yorkshire course’s Salute The Heroes Family Day. Enjoy a range of entertainment and activities for all the family.

Thirsk

Friday 7 August

There will be a stack of entertainment and activities on the track’s Superhero & Princess Family Day. Live shows from the Emma Enchanted team will entertain visitors and there will be face painting, balloon modelling, a laser battle zone, inflatables and much more.

Newmarket

Saturday 8 August

Roll up, roll up for an afternoon like no other. The Greatest Raceday will be bursting with circus magic. There will be interactive activities and shows for all the family.

Pontefract

Sunday 16 August

The combination of the Yorkshire track’s Family Day and excellent racing as part of the successful Sky Bet Sunday Series makes sure there is something for everyone on what promises to be a really enjoyable afternoon.

Catterick

Monday 17 August

Get active at the track’s Family Sports Day. There will be plenty to entertain even the most energetic youngsters.

Worcester

Sunday 23 August

There will be loads to entertain the kids on the Severnside track’s Family Fun Day.  Fairground rides, face painting, inflatables and a mascot race are among the attractions.

Brighton

Sunday 23 August

There will be some prehistoric fun at the clifftop Sussex track. A dinosaur show will help entertain younger visitors, who will also be able to enjoy bumpercarz, trampolines, an inflatable play zone, soft play centre, land zorbs and a tea cup ride.

Thirsk

Friday 28 August

Animal lovers are in for a treat at All Creatures Great and Small Family Day. The Yorkshire town of Thirsk will forever be associated with the hugely-popular books of vet James Herriot, later made into one of the best-loved television series. The course will have a petting farm packed with friendly animals, as well as a jungle run, inflatables, fairground stalls, a kids disco and live music from Rebecca York.

Goodwood

Friday 28 August

A breathtaking fireworks display will light up the sky around one of the world’s most stunning course after the course’s evening meeting. There will also be traditional fairground rides to enjoy on what promises to be a an unforgettable start to the Sussex course’s three-day Bank Holiday meeting.

Saturday 29 August

The fun continues on the second day of the beautiful Sussex track’s Bank Holiday fixture. There will be lots of entertainment for younger visitors, from a magician to face painting, as well as traditional fairground rides and live music.

Sunday 30 August

There will be lots of entertainment for all the family as the picturesque course ends its three-day Bank Holiday fixture on a high. There will be live music, traditional fairground rides, face painting, a magician and more.

Yarmouth

Sunday 30 August

There’s a distinct jungle feel to the coastal track’s Safari Family Fun Raceday. Life-sized animal characters will be roaming the course for everyone to meet and have their photo taken with elephants, bears, orangutangs, rhinos, parrots and horses. There will also be face painting, a fun fair and hair braiding as part of the entertainment.

Epsom

Monday 31 August

There will be loads to entertain younger guests at the home of the Derby. Among the family fun will be a bucking bronco, assault course, pony rides, face painting, live music, silent disco and much more.

Chepstow

Monday 31 August

It promises to be an unforgettable day filled with family fun. The KPOP Superstars will kick off the action, performing live before racing and Pop Queens will be banging out pop anthems when the sport has concluded. During the day there will be a chance to meet Chase and Sky from Paw Patrol, as well as funfair rides, a kids’ disco, footballer freestyler, face painting and stilt walkers.

Ripon

Monday 31 August

There will be a touch of theatre at Yorkshire’s Garden Racecourse. Curtains Up At The Races will entertain visitors and there will be a Pantomime Race. A lively circus will add to the entertainment.

Southwell

Monday 31 August

Younger visitors will be able to meet some of their favourite fictional characters at the track’s Superheroes and Princesses Family fun Raceday. Among the activities will be funfair rides, face painting, magician, circus workshops and a treasure hunt.
