The win means Buick closes the gap on leader and reigning Champion Flat Jockey, Oisin Murphy to just 13 wins, with less than five weeks of the Championship to go which this year culminates at Doncaster Racecourse on Saturday 7th November.
Buick, who is aiming for his first Champion Flat Jockey title, said: “I’m delighted to have reached 100 winners for the season. It is something I haven’t been able to do in the last couple of seasons, so it is a fantastic achievement for me personally.”
“With just over a month to go in the Championship, I find myself in a position where I’m fighting to become Champion Jockey, so I’ll be trying my absolute best to do just that.”
The 32-year-old reaches the century in 447 rides, operating at an impressive strike rate of 22%, and is nine victories ahead of third-placed Tom Marquand (91 wins).
