- The Promoter
- The promoter is: Great British Racing Limited, 7th Floor, Holborn Gate, Southampton Buildings, London, WC2A 1AN.
- The competition
- The title of the competition is “The Going Is Good Weekly Prize Draw.”
- How to enter
- The competition will run weekly from Tuesday 20 May 2025 (the “Opening Date“) to Monday 22 September 2025 (the “Closing Date”) inclusive. The first prize draw will be made on Monday 2 June 2025 and on each subsequent Monday thereafter, with the final draw occurring on the Closing Date.
- To enter the competition, participants must enter the competition online by completing and submitting the online entry form provided on https://www.greatbritishracing.com/the-going-is-good/ before the Closing Date. Participants may enter the competition at any point between the Opening Date and the Closing Date and will be entered in subsequent draws thereafter. No purchase is necessary and there is no charge to register for use of the website.
- The Promoter will not accept:
- responsibility for competition entries that are corrupted, not successfully completed or transmitted, lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, website, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or
- transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the competition.
- Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these termsand conditions upon entry. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
- Eligibility
- The competition is only open to all residents in the UK aged 18 years or over, except:
- employees of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies;
- employees of agents or suppliers of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration; or
- members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above.
- In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.
- The Promoter will not accept competition entries that are:
- automatically generated by computer or created by artificial intelligence (including but not limited to chatbots such as ChatGPT or similar software applications);
- completed by third parties or in bulk;
- illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with
- There is a limit of one entry per person in each prize draw.
- The prize
- The winner of each weekly draw will receive 2 Premier Enclosure (or equivalent) tickets to a horse racing event. The tickets must be selected from a list of pre-approved racing fixtures provided by the Promoter and attached to these Terms and Conditions. Each winner will be able to choose from pre-approved fixtures taking place within the next 6 weeks from the date of each prize draw. The list of fixtures will be updated each week so that it always covers the following 6-week period. Fixtures are subject to availability and may be amended at the Promoter’s discretion. There is no cash alternative for the prize.
- The prize is supplied by the relevant racecourse hosting the racing fixture selected by the winner . The Promoter reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control makes it necessary to do so.
- The prize is not negotiable or transferable and must be used for the pre-approved fixtures provided by the Promoter. No cash alternative is offered.
- Winners
- Winners will be selected at random from eligible entries performed by a computer process. The result of the draw taken by the Promoter is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into about it.
- The Promoter will contact the winner on the Monday afternoon following each prize draw. If a winner does not respond to the Promoter within 48 hours of being notified by the Promoter, then the winner’s prize will be forfeited and the Promoter will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above.
- The winner must collect their prize from the ticket office at the selected racecourse on the day of the approved racing fixture they have chosen. The winner will be required to present valid identification to claim the prize. The Promoter will not be responsible for any failure to collect the tickets, or for any loss resulting from failure to present valid ID.
- The Promoter does not accept any responsibility the winner is unable to take up the prize.
- The Promoter must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the Promoter will send the surname and county of major prize winners and, if applicable copies of their winning entries, to anyone who emails [email protected] or writes to Great British Racing, 7th Floor South, Holborn Gate, 26 Southampton Buildings, London, WC2A 1AN (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within 1 month after the Closing Date. If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact the Promoter at [email protected] ]. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
- By entering the competition, you acknowledge that if you are a winner your name and contact details will be shared with the relevant racecourse hosting the fixture chosen for the prize.
- Limitation of liability
- Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
- Ownership of competition entries and intellectual property rights
- The Promoter does not claim any rights of ownership in your competition entry.
- Data protection and publicity
- General
- If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.
- The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
- These terms and conditions are governed by English law. If any entrants to this promotion wish to take court proceedings, then they must do this within the courts in the United Kingdom.
