Denman is a Jumps racing legend and will forever be known for his great rivalry with stablemate Kauto Star. He was a big racehorse with a power-packed style and his greatest achievements include winning the Cheltenham Gold Cup in 2008 either side of two Hennessy Gold Cup wins.
Denman may have retired in 2011 but his legacy lives on to this day and will be seen in full force this weekend as Newbury stages the Denman Chase, a race named in the horse’s honour.
