A racing industry initiative, backed by both the Racehorse Owners Association and the Racehorse Syndicates Association, will see a series of racecourse events put on in 2022 to promote ownership through syndicates and racing clubs.
Promoted by In The Paddock, the shared ownership search engine run by Great British Racing; the events will allow existing shared ownership entities to exhibit their clubs and syndicates to raceday attendees.
The 2022 Racecourse Ownership Day series will launch at Newbury on 16th April with other fixtures at York (13th May), Perth (18th June), Haydock Park (7th August), Windsor (1st September), Cheltenham (21st & 22nd October) and Ascot (18th & 19th November).
For both seasoned racing fans or relative newcomers to the sport, the series of racecourse events will allow racegoers to enjoy an action-packed day and gain fascinating insight into what it’s like to be an owner of an equine star.
Syndicates and clubs will be on hand to discuss an alternative avenue into racehorse ownership and a parade of horses with shares available will take place ahead of racing, allowing racegoers to buy shares on the day or simply learn about the process of purchasing shares in a racehorse and what to look for in a young horse.
A series of talks will be held alongside a panel of syndicate managers, trainers and a list of racing personalities sharing their ownership stories.
Racegoers will also have the chance to step into the shoes of an owner using Virtual Reality Ownership Experience as well as the opportunity to meet a syndicate ex-racehorse up close and learn about their career on the track.
