Ghaiyyath the Great shows monstrous talent to win Juddmonte International

19th August 2020

The Goliath five-year-old Ghaiyyath proves untouchable once again to land hat-trick of big Summer wins.

Utterly relentless from start to finish, Ghaiyyath and William Buick continued their golden Summer together as they took out the Juddmonte International on day one of York’s Ebor Festival

With the rain falling hard on the Knavesmire, opponents of the Godolphin-owned horse hoped it might blunt their rival’s most potent weapon.

But, quite simply, he had too much talent; bullying them from the front, he and pilot Buick were not to be denied

After that incredible showing at York, many will be calling Ghaiyyath the world’s best racehorse on ratings.

Having already beaten titanic names like Stradivarius in the Coronation Cup, Enable in the Coral-Eclipse and a high quality Juddmonte field, he’s certainly earned that billing.

Victory in the Juddmonte now leaves a huge range of global options for the ultra talented middle distance horse. Something of a globetrotter, Ghaiyyath has already won major races in Germany, France and Dubai; so a trip to foreign lands will pose no worry whatsoever.

The team are keeping the targets open with Irish Champion Stakes, the Arc and the QIPCO British Champions Stakes all in mix.
