Jonathan Burke burst onto the scene in his home country of Ireland, riding his first winner at 16 and a winner for Willie Mullins at the Dublin Racing Festival at 18.
After an injury-plagued 2016, Burke moved to England to become stable jockey for Charlie Longsdon, followed by a stint with Tom George.
In April 2024, Burke moved to Fergal O’Brien’s Withington yard, where he achieved notable wins on Crambo and Ryan’s Rocket. In April 2026, Burke announced he would be going freelance for the 2026/27 season.
