Two of the world’s most famous race meetings dominate June’s Premier Racing fixtures.

It kicks off with Epsom’s Betfred Derby Festival, with the five fabulous days of Royal Ascot starting just ten days later.

Here’s a look at all the Premier Racedays in June.

Epsom Downs

There is Classic action to start the month as the eyes of the racing world focus on Epsom.

The fillies get their chance to shine on the opening day, with the Betfred Oaks the feature race. The Group 1 Coronation Cup is among an excellent list of supporting contests.

The Derby has been imitated by just about every other racing jurisdiction. The original – and still the best – takes place at Epsom Downs in its traditional slot on the first Saturday of June.

Irish trainer Aidan O’Brien will attempt to win the greatest Classic for the third year in a row and the eleventh time overall.

The Aston Martin Dash – often the fastest five-furlong race of the year – helps add to the excitement on an iconic day’s racing.

Goodwood

Family Raceday, Sunday 8 June

To cap a superb weekend of racing, more than £250,000 in prize money will be up for grabs at Goodwood’s Family Race Day.

A free fairground, live music and family entertainment will compliment some excellent racing, including the Listed William Hill Tapster Stakes.
