The eight-day celebration of the stars of the sport that is National Racehorse Week takes place this year from Saturday 7 September to Sunday 15 September.
There is so much going on at more than a hundred events up and down the country, with fascinating displays, as well as the chance to meet the racehorses and see what wonderful lives they lead.
You can book your visit – and entry to the vast majority of events is completely free at National Racehorse Week.
Charlie Johnston
There will be no less than ten events at Charlie Johnston’s Yorkshire base during National Racehorse Week.
Charlie and his dad Mark are keen that no one should miss the chance to see behind the scenes at their stunning 300-acre Kingsley Park base in Middleham.
They will host two slots each day from Tuesday 10 September to Saturday 14 September.
Visitors will enjoy a trip to see the horses work on the gallops, as well as a demonstration of how the equine swimming pool is used.
In 2018, Mark became the most successful trainer in British racing when notching up his 4,194th winner. Charlie took over from his dad last year and there has now been more than 5,000 winners trained from their state-of-the-art base. The tally includes numerous Group 1 winners, including Classic victories, with some of Flat racing’s best-loved horses like star stayer Double Trigger and top filly Attraction.

Jamie Snowden
Find out the secret to Jamie Snowden’s considerable success in recent seasons when he opens the gates to his Upper Lambourn stables.
The trainer will be on hand to answer any questions from visitors to his National Racehorse Week open day on Sunday 8 September.
There will also be a tour of the historic Folly House yard and the opportunity to meet the horses.
Jamie has enjoyed a superb couple of seasons. Datsalrightgino won the prestigious Coral Gold Cup at nearby Newbury last year, to add to Ga Law’s Paddy Power Gold Cup success and You Wear It Well’s Cheltenham Festival victory the previous season.
The former assistant to Nicky Henderson has won more than 400 races since he set up training in 2011, following a successful career as an amateur jockey.
Dogs are welcome if they are kept on a lead.

Warren Greatrex
Visitors
to historic Rhonehurst – home to Warren Greatrex – will be treated to several
fascinating demonstrations.
The salt
water treadmill and equine swimming pool will both be in operation during the
National Racehorse Week open day on Wednesday 11 September.
There
will also be a schooling demonstration and the chance to meet the horses at
Warren’s state-of-the-art complex in the heart of Upper Lambourn.
Warren
moved to Rhonehurst in 2021. During his career he has trained numerous big
winners, including Grade 1 victories with Cole Harden, One Track Mind and star
mare La Bague Au Roi.
This
summer, he has successfully expanded his string to have Flat runners to
supplement his established jumping team.

Jedd O'Keefe
Based in the stunning countryside of the Yorkshire Dales, Jedd O’Keeffe has been training winners over jumps and on the Flat for more than 20 years.
His star staying hurdler Sam Spinner won Ascot’s Grade 1 Long Walk Hurdle and he’s had plenty of smart Flat performers.
Visitors to his stables near Middleham on Thursday 12 September can expect a warm welcome from the trainer and his team.
They will be on hand to show the National Racehorse Week guests around the yard and answer any questions you might have.
Of course, there will be plenty of opportunities to meet the current crop of horses based at Brecongill Stables.

Olly Murphy
Since he started training the heart of William Shakespeare country near Stratford-upon-Avon seven years ago, Olly Murphy has notched up more than 600 winners.
Last season, he saddled his second Grade 1 winner when Strong Leader landed the Liverpool Hurdle at Aintree’s Grand National meeting.
Visitors to his state-of-the-art stables on Saturday 14 September in the village of Wilmcote will be able to see the horses working on the gallops.
There will also be demonstrations from the farrier and the veterinary team, as well as the chance to meet all of the horses.
