Quadrilateral earned her reputation as the most exciting young filly in training in Britain last autumn when getting the upper hand in a hard-fought battle with Powerful Breeze in the Group 1 Fillies’ Mile at Newmarket.
She may have only won that race narrowly, but she had previously caught the attention of the racing world when triumphing by a huge 9 lengths on her previous start at Newbury. She remains unbeaten in three career starts so far.

Not even a slow start gave the rest of the field any sort of chance - and that turn of foot certainly reminded us of her dad👀pic.twitter.com/YH0XjZD9nP
Quadrilateral is a daughter of legendary racehorse Frankel, and runs in the same green, pink and white silks of owner-breeder Prince Khalid Abdullah.
The bright chestnut filly is currently favourite for Sunday’s Group 1 QIPCO 1000 Guineas. If she were to win it, it would represent a third victory in the race for Prince Khalid, and his seventh Classic success at Newmarket overall.
Quadrilateral is trained by Roger Charlton, who has twice won the Derby at Epsom and has claimed top-level honours in England, Ireland, France, Germany and Dubai. He is yet to win a Guineas, however.
Quadrilateral is ridden by Charlton’s promising young stable jockey Jason Watson, who recently reported that “she’s packed on the muscle and looks great.”
