About

Born in Downpatrick, County Down, Northern Ireland, Caoilin Quinn started pony racing, while still in primary school. Whilst at secondary school, he rode out for local trainer Brian Hamilton at weekends and during holidays. Once he finished his studies, he crossed the Irish Sea to join Warren Greatrex at Uplands Stables and quickly turned conditional.

After a successful three years with Greatrex, Quinn joined Gary Moore at Cisswood Stables in Lower Beeding, West Sussex, as the yard’s conditional jockey. With Gary’s youngest son, Josh, joining the training licence, they continued to supply the winners for Quinn.

Quinn made headlines when riding a high-profile double on Salver in the Finale Juvenile Hurdle and Nassalam in the Welsh Grand National at Chepstow in 2023, followed by another double, on Jolyjump and Icare Grandchamp at Southwell in 2024, subsequently riding out his claim.

In 2026, Quinn rounded off his most successful season yet by winning the Bet365 Gold Cup at Sandown, on the final day, on Havaila, trained by Gary & Josh Moore.
