Tom Bellamy has always been around horses; he joined the North Cotswold Hunt Pony Club at the age of 4. When pony racing was introduced in the UK, Tom (aged 9), never looked back.
After riding his first winner under Rules for Martin Keighley, Bellamy rode in several point-to-points, joined David Pipe’s yard, and then moved to Alan King’s Swindon-based yard in 2014.
In November 2025, Bellamy was promoted to number one jockey for Alan King, a move which prompted great success, with the experienced Bellamy picking up 67 winners in the 2025/26 season. At the 2026 Cheltenham Festival, Bellamy recorded his maiden winner at the meeting aboard White Noise for Kim Bailey & Mat Nicholls.
