“After having returned and notched his first win in September, Adam enjoyed success back at Hereford aboard Barafundle Bay after a year off with a very bad shoulder injury.
He is one of the most stylish riders of his generation and someone that is admired not only for his skill, but his determination. It was great to see him back and hopefully there will be a big winner to follow.
Given the obstacles he has had to overcome in returning to the racecourse, he deserves to be in the reckoning.”
“Brendan has had a phenomenal month, achieving a first career four-timer at Ffos Las. He followed that up with a big win at Cheltenham aboard JPR One before another notable victory came in the valuable middle distance veterans race at Market Rasen on Triple Trade.
Brendan has been having a great time throughout October, with his collaboration with Joe Tizzard key to that success.
Kicking off in such great form will have laid the foundations for what promises to be a great season for him.”
“The next nomination must go to the current pace setter in the Jump Jockeys’ Championship, Harry Skelton.
I thought he was exceptional at Cheltenham earlier this month – showing his versatility to win with two completely different types of rides.
He won the valuable handicap chase aboard Here Comes Georgie with a supremely confident hold-up ride, before bouncing out and making all half an hour later in what was a bold and brave display from North Shore.
I think that both of those rides epitomised the maturity, strength and confidence he has in the saddle at the moment.”
