Fun for all the family this Easter

The Easter Weekend is a great time to get out and about with family and friends so why not head along to one of Britain’s 20 racecourses for some heart-stopping racing entertainment over the four days.

Flat, Jump and All-Weather racing will all be on offer across the weekend with the action kicking off at the All-Weather Championship Finals Day at Lingfield Park Racecourse on Good Friday.

With over 70,000 people in attendance over the weekend last year, 2019 is expected to be even bigger and better so be sure not to miss out.

Open Days

Lambourn Open Day

The Peter O’Sullevan Open Day sees the likes of Nicky Henderson, Oliver Sherwood, Charlie Hills, Clive Cox and many, many more of Lambourn’s trainers open the doors to their yard to the general public. Entry is from 8.30am to 1.30pm on Good Friday, and tickets are £15, with under 12’s getting in for free. It’s a great chance to see some of the biggest names in both jump and flat racing on what is always a popular day.

Middleham Open Day

Middleham Open Day

Organised by horseracing charity Racing Welfare (link), the Middleham Open Day will see no less no less than eleven yards open their doors to the public; including the likes of Classic-winning trainers Mark Johnston and Karl Burke.

The yards will open at 09.30am, before a jam-packed day of highlights that includes a demonstration of retrained racehorses, a parade of the local Hunt, a Donkey Derby and Show-jumping competition! Middleham Castle will also be open all day and are offering free entry to local residents.

Adult day passes are priced at £12.50, with concessions at £8.50 while under 16s go free of charge. Tickets can be purchased in cash only on the day.
