Matt Edmondson to DJ at Horseracing’s Student Party
Sony Award-nominated radio and television presenter Matt Edmondson will be closing the Official Student After Party when he hits the decks on QIPCO British Champions Day at Ascot Racecourse on Saturday 17 October.
After last year’s event, which saw over 1,500 students attend one of Britain’s favourite racedays for FREE, the BBC Radio 1 DJ will bring down the curtain on the After Party in the exclusive student area once the action on the track has finished.
The end-of-season finale is FREE to attend for students, but tickets are limited to just the first 2,500 students who apply. You can grab your free ticket by registering on the Ascot Racecourse website (www.ascot.co.uk) using the promotional code STUDENTSBCD. With registrations coming in thick and fast, we recommend you get in quick to avoid disappointment.
Charlie Dee, a student at Oxford Brookes University who attended last year said: “QIPCO British Champions Day was a real highlight for me and my friends last year, and I’ve already registered for my ticket for 2015 – I can’t wait! Not only do students get to see some of the finest horses in the world battle it out on the track, but this year we’ll get to see Matt Edmondson – one of the most popular DJs on radio – playing at the student after party. I cannot think of another sporting event that can offer students a better experience for free.”
With over £4 million in prize money and some of the world’s best horses already entered to run, QIPCO British Champions Day is the finale to the Flat racing season. With a dedicated student area on course, students will be able to enjoy a world class sporting event and the exclusive after party all for free. Make sure you are there.
