Hat-trick Hero Nicholls Set For Third Silk Series Victory
As the Silk Series comes to a close, there is still no stopping star rider Megan Nicholls who will see herself crowned as the winner of The Tufnell Trophy for a third straight year at Doncaster on Wednesday.
Nicholls, still only 22-years-old, has taken an unassailable lead at the head of the leader board, some 48 points clear of Hayley Turner with just one race of the 15-race programme still to come. She has notably won 5 of the 14 races this year with victories coming at Musselburgh, York, Newcastle, Brighton and Wolves.
With 5️⃣ wins so far this year, Megan will once again collect The Tufnell Trophy at @DoncasterRaces on 12 September!

Away from the Series the daughter of Champion Jump trainer Paul Nicholls has put together a strong season with 17 winners to date, including memorable victory at Glorious Goodwood aboard the Simon Crisford-trained Mannaal.
Speaking to the Racing Post the young rider enthused, “I’m delighted to win it again. Last year was pretty close and this year I’ve tried to base days around the Series more. There are a lot of good girls riding now so we had to go into this all guns blazing or we wouldn’t have done it.
“I’ve had a lot of support and once again Richard Fahey has been brilliant to me, I’ve had rides in most of the races and the majority of them have been for him. It’s huge thanks to him, his horses suit the races and they’re always in top form.”
Nicholls will take the ride on the Stuart Williams trained Hart Stopper in this Thursday’s final Silk Series race.
