Georgia Toffolo Joins the Garden Party at Glorious Goodwood
TV personality Georgia Toffolo attended Ladies Day of the Qatar Goodwood Festival today to reprise her role as a Roving Racing Reporter and explore the popular race meeting’s magnificent garden party atmosphere.
Once described by King Edward VII as ‘a garden party with racing,’ this world-famous five-day festival – affectionately known as ‘Glorious Goodwood’ – is one of the highlights of the flat racing season.
Set against the beautiful backdrop of the rolling Sussex countryside, Georgia took over our Instagram channel for a behind the scenes look at the world-class hospitality and entertainment on offer.
Wearing a one-shouldered lavender dress in line with Goodwood’s relaxed summer style, the avid horse racing fan explored the racecourse, showing off the various places to relax and have fun, before taking part in the Unibet Stewards Cup draw with Racing TV presenter Nick Luck.
With Ladies Day known as the most glamorous day of the Festival, Georgia made sure to visit the Earl’s Court Lawn for a mid-morning touch-up with celebrity hair stylist, Nicky Clarke, as he and his team were providing blow-dry’s and hair styling to racegoers.
“I’ve had the most incredible day here at Glorious Goodwood. It really does feel like a perfectly British summer garden party. There’s so much spectacular food and drink on offer and there’s such a vibrant atmosphere, it’s impossible not to enjoy it,” she said.
Another highlight of the day came when Georgia chatted to ITV Racing presenter, Oli Bell, ahead of Khadijah Mellah becoming the first Muslim woman to ride in – and win – the Magnolia Cup.
“I’m so impressed with the training that Khadijah and all of the riders have done in the lead up to the Magnolia Cup charity race. They’ve put so much hard work in and raised money for Wellbeing of Woman which is a wonderful cause.”
Over the next few months, Georgia will visit three more racecourses across the UK in her continued efforts to showcase everything that an amazing race day has to offer both on and off the track. She next appears in Scotland on Friday 30th August at Hamilton Ladbrokes Lanark Silver Bell Race Night.
Horse racing is the second biggest spectator sport in the country, with six million people attending each year. As well as top class sporting action, a day at the races is the perfect opportunity to get dressed up and enjoy a day out with friends and family.
