Five racedays to look out for this Easter Holidays

Easter Racing Fixture 2017

The Easter Holidays is a great time to get out and about with family and friends.

It is an incredibly busy time for racing up and down the country as a plethora of racecourses offer heart-stopping action, so there is bound to be a raceday near you! And the best part – kids go FREE!

The Easter holiday covers all the bases as there is high class jump, flat and All-Weather racing occurring across the whole weekend so no matter whatever takes your fancy there’s something for everyone. There were 73,000 people in attendance over Easter weekend alone last year; 2017 is expected to be even bigger and better so be sure not to miss out.

  1. Lingfield – All-Weather Finals Day – Friday 14th April

The stakes are high at Lingfield with £1million on offer making it the richest all-weather race-day ever staged in Europe so the jockeys and trainers alike will be desperate to perform as well as possible and produce the results in the day’s six races.

The stars on show will look to follow in the footsteps of past champs like Grendisar, Captain Joy and Ertijaal.

  2. Beverley – White rabbit in Easterland  – 19th April

Beverley opens its doors for the first time in 2017 and their Easterland raceday will be full of family fun as kids will be kept entertained with an Alice in Wonderland themed Easter Egg Hunt and live theatre !

The day’s festivities will be followed by an exciting afternoon’s racing starting at 2:15pm and finishing at 5:45pm.

  3. Ripon – Easter Holiday Family Day – 20th April

On the day, there will an Easter Bunny Hunt, balloon modelling, face painting and bouncy castles while adults can enjoy the races and wide range of catering outlets available or of course have a picnic in the (hopefully) beating sun.

  4. Haydock – Superheroes Easter Family Day – 15th April

Haydock has a big day of Jumps races on Easter Saturday with a superhero themed fantasy dress twist for kids!

The kids action packed activities include a giant assault course, inflatable wipe out challenge and a bungee run, and the more relaxed options are a superhero photo-booth, face-painting as well as arts and crafts. Haydock is also providing an opportunity for kids to have a ride on their ponies which is a great first time riding experience.

  5. Plumpton – 2 day Easter Weekend meeting – 16th and 17th April
