The Cheltenham Festival kicked into overdrive yesterday with fairytale results throughout an action packed card. One of the most fiercely competitive days of the season saw two of Britain’s most talented female riders once again demonstrate that they are every bit the equal of their male rivals.

The charismatic Bryony Frost is no stranger to making headlines and her win aboard long-time partner Frodon in the Ryanair Chase couldn’t have failed to stir emotions in even the hardiest racing fan.

“He’s got his day. He is Pegasus, he has got wings. He is the most incredible battler. He travelled, my God he jumped,” Frost exclaimed after becoming the first woman to ride a Grade 1 winner over Jumps at racing’s most coveted National Hunt Festival,

The action didn’t stop their though as just two races later Lizzie Kelly followed her weighing room colleague into the Winner’s Enclosure with a power packed ride from the front aboard Siruh Du Lac in the Brown Advisory & Merriebelle Stable Plate Handicap Chase.
